TOOTH TOWN BOOK
One of the assignments in our last year of Information Design was an instructional package created to resolve a problem that a client has. Our class had the pleasure of working with Len, a dentist who was passionate about educating children and guardians about child cavities. To help teach children about the problem, my team decided upon a children's book and a teaching package that coordinates with the book. The book would take place in Tooth Town, a representation of the actual human mouth, and teach the prevention and resolving of cavities through a series of narratives. I was assigned to work on the visual components of the book, along with two other teammates. For our process, we began with simple sketches of concepts for the characters. We agreed upon cute, cheerful visuals that would attract our young targeted audience.
